Guidelines for Learners attending Online Exams

Candidates appearing for the CDL, GITAM University examinations are required to strictly observe the following instructions:

  • Online Exams will be conducted at authorised centres only
  • Request for change of exam centre by learner will be allowed up to one week before commencement of exam
  • Learners with valid identity cards and hall-ticket only will be permitted into the examination hall. They should not write any matter on the hall-ticket /identity card/ calculator.
  • Learners must report to the exam centre half an hour before commencement of exam
  • Learners shall not be admitted into the examination hall after 30 minutes of the commencement of the examination and will be allowed to leave the examination hall after 90 minutes of the commencement of exam
  • Learners are prohibited from carrying books, notes, slips, reference material, log tables, scribbling pads, cell phones, programmable calculators, electronic and audio/video devices, etc.
  • Learners shall be provided with drinking water in the examination hall; no other eatables or beverages are permitted.
  • Once the exam paper is open for the learners, the exam time starts and logs out on completion of duration of the examination
  • Exam Center Coordinator shall inform CDL immediately in case of Power failure or other technical problems
    • In case of genuine reason, time will be extended for particular learners if Learner Registration IDs and system IPs are informed
    • In case of a fault of the learner, like intentionally unplugging the System / Peripherals / Network etc., time will not be extended and exam will be terminated at the original time only.
  • CC Camera Monitoring is conducted during examination.
  • Browser will be locked for the duration of the exam and System IP will be under continuous observation/monitoring during the examination in order to avoid any kind of malpractice
  • Any of the actions mentioned below come under malpractice and liable for disciplinary action and they shall not be permitted to continue the examination:
    1. Possession of any printed or written material related to the examination
    2. Copying from other’s material or helping others in copying
    3. Communicatingwith any person within or outside the examination hall
    4. Making any representation / inducement / threat to the invigilator for favours during the examination
    5. Impersonation of any kind
    6. Unruly or disruptive behavior in the examination center or its surroundings
  • In case of any malpractice, that particular exam will be locked for concerned learner.
